Kofi Owusu Boateng is an astute lawyer, accomplished entrepreneur, and versatile marketing communications professional. Known for his strategic mindset and ability to see the “big picture,” Kofi excels in navigating complex challenges across diverse industries.
As the founder and managing partner of August Law, Kofi brings over 20 years of leadership experience spanning legal practice, retail, technology, real estate, and financial services. He has worked with globally recognized brands such as IKEA in Maryland, Harte-Hanks Data Technologies in Massachusetts, and, most recently, T. Rowe Price Investment Services in Maryland, USA—a firm managing over $600 billion in assets worldwide.
Kofi holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Global Marketing Communication & Advertising (GMCA) from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts, which has deepened his understanding of cultural values and their significance in today’s global business environment. He also earned a Bachelor of Arts (BA) from the University of Science and Technology in Kumasi, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from the University of Ghana’s School of Law in Legon, and a Qualifying Certificate from the Ghana School of Law in Accra.
Before founding August Law, Kofi served as the firm manager at Parkwood & Mossane, a boutique bilingual law firm in Accra, where he handled litigation and provided expertise in corporate and commercial matters for individuals and businesses. He has also worked with other prominent law firms, including Kulendi@Law and Legal Anchor, further solidifying his reputation in the legal field. Kofi’s areas of specialization include Family Law, Estate Planning, Real Estate transactions, Infrastructure and Project Finance, and Alternative Dispute Resolution.
Kofi is an active member of several professional organizations, including the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, the Ghana Bar Association, and the International Advertising Association. He has also held key leadership roles, such as serving as the Board Secretary for the State Housing Company (SHC) Ltd., as temporary Board Secretary for Prudential Bank Limited and as a co-opted member of the Human Resource (HR) and Remuneration Committee of the Board of the National Petroleum Authority (NPA).

With over a decade of legal practice, Akua has honed her expertise in managing complex transactions, including multilateral contracts for both local and international clients. Akua holds a Master of Arts (MA) in Gender, Peace, and Security from the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) in Accra. She also earned a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) and a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Law all from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi. Since 2014, she has been a legal practitioner in good standing, having obtained her Qualifying Certificate from the Ghana School of Law in Accra.

Nana Agyeman Abu-Bonsra is a highly skilled legal professional with extensive expertise in aviation law, corporate and commercial litigation, and regulatory compliance. As Legal Counsel at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) in Montreal, Canada, he provides strategic legal advice on aviation regulations, industry litigation, consumer protection policies, and data privacy matters, serving as a trusted advisor to global airlines and aviation stakeholders.
With a career comprising significant achievements in the aviation sector, Nana has handled a wide range of matters, including carrier liability, regulatory and licensing matters, product liability disputes, aviation finance and leasing conflicts, contractual and treaty interpretation, and general commercial disputes. Nana holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Air and Space Law from Leiden University and is admitted to the Ghana Bar. Adjoa Gyebiwaa Opoku is a highly accomplished lawyer, admitted to the Ghana Bar, with over five years of experience providing expert legal and regulatory advice to businesses operating in both domestic and international markets. Her unique blend of expertise in business administration (Accounting) and law allows her to seamlessly integrate corporate strategy with legal compliance, delivering practical and commercially focused solutions.

Her professional journey includes legal roles at the National Communications Authority (NCA) of Ghana and the National Investment Bank (NIB), as well as operational roles at Access Bank (Ghana) Plc.

Albert Boateng is a seasoned finance professional with over 19 years of experience in banking, investment, and finance. He currently serves as an Advisor for the GET.Invest Finance Catalyst program in Sub-Saharan Africa and as the Team Leader for Green Finance Facilitator, a project preparation and investment facilitation initiative in Ghana. Throughout his career, Albert has been instrumental in supporting investments, fundraising, and strategic project development for a wide range of projects and businesses across West Africa, with a strong focus on clean energy initiatives.
Albert previously held the role of Regional Director at Persistent Energy Partners, a clean energy investment company, where he managed the investment and portfolio development of the firm’s West Africa operations. His responsibilities included pipeline development, investment appraisal, transaction structuring, asset management, and overseeing exit and liquidation strategies. Prior to this, he served as the Regional Asset Manager for E+Co, a clean energy fund management company that provided enterprise development services and investment capital to SMEs.
With extensive fund management experience, Albert was the Head of Asset Management at SIC-Financial Services Ltd, where he managed one of Ghana’s largest pension funds and other significant assets. He also played a key role as part of the pioneer team managing a $10 million Venture Capital Fund, which supported businesses across multiple sectors. Albert has a proven track record in advising and fundraising for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). As the Regional Co-ordinator for the Private Financing Advisory Network, he organized and participated in numerous Project Development and Financing Workshops, building capacity for clean energy entrepreneurs and project developers.
Earlier in his career, Albert worked as a credit analyst with Citizens Financial Group and Belmont Savings Bank in the United States. He holds the Financial Modelling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA) certification from the Corporate Finance Institute, equipping him with the skills to help businesses develop robust financial models, demonstrate viability, and identify investor exit opportunities. He has also supported investors in conducting due diligence on potential investee companies.
Albert currently serves on the Investment Committee for Wangara Capital, a climate-smart impact investment fund, and previously served on the Investment Committee of the Commodity Aggregation Development Fund (CADeF). He has also held board positions with PEG Ghana Ltd, Persistent Energy Capital Partners, and Connect Capital.
Albert holds an MBA in Finance from Boston College, USA, and a BA in Social Science (Economics and French) from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana. Sena holds a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology and Information Studies from the University of Ghana, a Bachelor of Laws (LL.B) from Mount Crest University College, and a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance from the University of Ghana Business School. She is currently pursuing an MSc in Procurement & Supply Chain Management at the University of Ghana Business School. Additionally, she is qualified to practice law in Ghana, having earned the Ghana School of Law’s Qualifying Certificate.
